The Results of Using The GreenFix System
Look What People are Saying about the Greenfix Ball Mark Elimination System!
Golfers at Medinah Country Club, site of the 2006 PGA Championship and 2012 Ryder Cup have been instructed to turn in their old ball mark repair tools. If this is something like turning in their guns, the irony has not been lost on Danny Edwards, winner of four PGA Tour events and the leading advocate of the new professional ball mark repair tool system that could change the complexion of modern golf greens.
Improved Greens Repair Technique
We are providing courses around the country with the safest, user friendly ball mark repair tool, without question. Although, such an innovative tool also requires a new technique. No longer will players at your course jab, lift and twist the old fashioned divot tools into your fragile greens killing the root system. With the GreenFix Wizard, you simply hold the tool at a 45 degree angle and push around the outside edges of the crater from the North, South, East, and West. Tap down the mark firmly with your putter head and that's it, you are done!!
Improved Green Repair Tool
Recently a Kansas State research study found that unrepaired ball marks actually heal FASTER than ones repaired with the old fashioned divot tool. But of course we don’t want to leave unfixed craters on our greens! The reason is simple. Old fashioned divot tools have very long prongs which cut through the root system thus killing the grass. Yes, most of us repair our ball mark and when done see a nice smooth, flat surface again. Come back tomorrow and look at the same spot. Chances are you will be shocked when you see an ugly dead brown spot. With the GreenFix Wizard, the prongs are too short for players to jab, lift, and twist which damages the fragile roots on your greens. I guess one superintendent summed it up best when he said, " The GreenFix Wizard is a divot repair tool for dummies."
If 100% of golfers took the 6-10 seconds to repair every ball mark, everyone's putting
would get better, scores would improve, and the greens would be healthier. |

What do you mean when you talk about a system?
A system is “a collection of components and a process to accomplish a specific objective.”
The GreenFix Ball Mark Elimination System combines a totally new divot tool . . a new divot
repair technique. . . taught in an organized training program . . . using a pre-packaged kit
of training and reminder materials. This process is led by the members, and requires that
old-fashioned tools and harmful techniques be prohibited on that golf course. Those are the
components of the Ball Mark Elimination System.
How fast will ball marks disappear?
Based on the Kansas State University research studies and evidence from golf writers
and USGA Turf Advisors, most courses should be able to drastically reduce their Ball
Marks within 90 days. However, if only 50% of your players attempt to fix the Ball
Marks they make, and only half of those use the correct method , you could still be
left with 75% of your Ball Marks.
Does the system work as well on bermuda grass versus bent grass?
As well on deep gnarly ball marks as it does on shallow craters?
While bent grass greens and modern turf grasses show ball marks to a greater extent,
Bermuda grass greens still harbor ball mark craters and need to be repaired. In every
case, gnarly deep craters or Bermuda green ball marks will recover and heal faster
with the GreenFix Wizard than they will with the traditional divot tool and technique.
ANY DIGGING, LIFTING OR TWISTING OF ANY TURF PLANT WILL KILL THE TURF! Because of its
patented design, The GreenFix Wizard only allows you to PUSH the walls of the ball
mark crater back to the center. The turf plant is still alive, and smooth enough for
following players to putt over. |
